Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was released late 2019 and has now become the fourth fastest selling game in US history.

Modern Warfare is a single-player first-person shooter game that is based on its predecessors in the Modern Warfare series which started in 2007. Players may have chosen to go for the free route and play Call of Duty: Warzone to experience a battle royale like other popular games Fortnite and PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUND, but Modern Warfare 2019 brings about a story mode that rivals its predecessors and would bring some nostalgia.

A report by NPD Games showed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 is now the fourth fastest selling game in US history.

In addition to this, Modern Warfare has once again excelled this month as its April sales figures had them rank at second, only behind by new entrant Final Fantasy VII: Remake. Modern Warfare has also maintained its status as the best selling year to date game of 2020 so far, even beating out the highly popular Nintendo Switch game, Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

As the 16th installment of the Call of Duty franchise, the game and company has not lost its popularity and is still one of the best and most recognizable shooting games in history.
