Call of Duty: Warzone's next major update, the Vanguard Season 1 update, has been delayed to Dec. 9. That means Warzone players will have to wait an extra week to explore Caldera, the map set to be added to the game in the Pacific update releasing alongside Vanguard Season 1.

Activision announced the delay Friday via the official Call of Duty Twitter account. No reason was given for the delay.

Vanguard owners will be able to access Caldera 24 hours before the rest of the public, allowing them to play starting Dec. 8.

Caldera will be Warzone's third-ever map. The game launched with Verdansk, which later underwent a substantial facelift as Verdansk '84 to tie in with the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The only other map in the game is the much smaller Rebirth Island, which mixes up the battle royale formula with a respawn system not found in Verdansk matches.

Calling Cards appearing to preview the map were discovered in Warzone on Thursday.
