Can you catch a Shiny Abra in Pokemon GO?
The postponed April Pokemon Go Community Day is rescheduled for Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time. It's being called the Play at Home Edition. Abra will have drastically increased spawn rates and shiny Abra will become available. The rate of shiny Abras have also been increased as approximately 1 in 23 Abra will be shiny.
Can You Catch a Shiny Abra in Pokemon GO?
This will be the first time Shiny Abra will be in the game. Players will be able to catch one after the event is over, but it will be much harder.
Shiny Abra can be caught, hatched from eggs, and obtained through research and raids. Shiny Abra have a slightly lighter yellow color, but can be difficult to discern from ordinary Abra. Shiny Pokemon also appear as normal Pokemon on the map and only reveal their true colors when you click on them.
By being diligent and catching lots of Abras during Community Day, you should be able to come across a few shiny Abras. Don't forget to take a photo of your buddy on Community Day for a special surprise according to the announcement.
