Can You Play Ghost of Tsushima on PS5?
By Jack O'Dwyer

Playing Ghost of Tsushima on the PS5 will feature swifter loading, better frame rate, and possibly even more impressive scenery.
Ghost of Tsushima was one of the most popular titles of 2020, seeing wide acclaim for its open-world architecture and gripping historical fiction storyline. The game has sold over 5 million copies since its release on July 17. Sucker Punch Productions was quick to capitalize on the fame and feedback with a new mode, quick fixes, and even a new in-game charm that allows players to recruit and pet their own army of dogs.
So, how about a PlayStation 5 (PS5) port?

Can You Play Ghost of Tsushima on PS5?
Yes, you can play Ghost of Tsushima on the PS5. Sucker Punch Productions have confirmed that the game will be taking advantage of the console's backward compatibility. As long as players own the PS4 release of the game, they will be able to load it up on the next-generation machine. They'll even be able to transfer their saved data between the two.
Additionally, they can expect to see the game make use of the console's advanced hardware. Ghost of Tsushima will feature up to 60fps, quicker load times, and possibly even graphical improvements thanks to Sony's Game Boost.
It's unlikely that Sucker Punch will focus on remastering or re-releasing the game this close to its initial release. After all, it still has Ghost of Tsushima Legends to maintain—only a month out of the gate at the time of writing.
