Players are interested to know whether or not they can use the PlayStation 5 controller while playing Microsoft's Halo Infinite.

While Microsoft seems to have blown Sony out of the water when it comes to its subscription service and some of the most popular platform exclusives, some players still prefer to use Sony's hardware. One of the most common examples is the new PlayStation 5 DualSense controller. Fortunately, there are ways to make the two co-exist.

Can You Use a PS5 Controller in Halo Infinite?

Yes, you can use a PlayStation 5 controller while playing Halo Infinite. However, this can only be done on PC.

Despite the massive console war that has been waged over the past decade, it's not impossible to mix hardware from either side. This is most commonly done by using third-party software that tricks the platform into believing any other controller is one from Microsoft. There are a handful of popular programs available, but we would recommend caution when using them as they may not be as regulated as standard accessories.

Players should be aware that connecting a PS5 controller will not automatically make the game operate by PS controls. The game will still display default Xbox control prompts and use the Xbox controller scheme. For example, instead of displaying the PS triangle button, it will display the Xbox "Y."

We would encourage those using the PS5 controller to remap their controls to what best suits them in-game.

Other than that caveat, the controller should function as well as one issued from Microsoft.
