Chargers Theme Team Madden 21: Every Player Included

For once, it is a really good week to be a Los Angeles Chargers fan! No, it is not because they are making the move back to San Diego. Instead, the Chargers took care of business against the Jacksonville Jaguars and then Madden 21 hooked it up by having three Chargers players in their MUT 21 Team of the Week pack: Joey Bosa (92 OVR), legend Rodney Harrison (91OVR), and Justin Herbert (88 OVR)

Madden 21 developers must have felt bad for all Chargers fans out there that have had to watch their team famously lose in some of the most heart wrenching ways possible. All four of their losses this year have been decided by one score. There is some good news. The Chargers theme team is absolutely insane.

On offense, the 92 OVR LaDainian Tomlinson from The 50 Promo is enough to make any defense nervous to guard the run. The wide receivers core of Vincent Jackson (92 OVR), Keenan Allen (90 OVR), and Keenan Miccard (90 OVR) will force a defense to double one of these guys, inevitably leaving somebody wide open for an easy touchdown.

User randomizer9870 created the Chargers theme team on MUTHead, but has not yet updated to include the three Team of the Week beasts.

On the defensive side of the ball, this theme team is ridiculous before adding in the two Team of the Week studs: Bosa and Harrison. The secondary options of Rodney Harrison (91 OVR), Eric Weddle (90 OVR), Bob Sanders (90 OVR), Derwin James Jr. (90 OVR), Antonio Cromartie (93 OVR) and Chris Harris Jr. (93 OVR) will make you think twice before lobbing one downfield.

Unfortunately running the ball against this theme team is not a great back-up option. Opposing running backs will be forced to deal with either right end Deacon Jones (93 OVR) or left end Joey Bosa (92 OVR). The linebackers are Junior Seau (91 OVR), Takeo Spikes (90 OVR), and Kenneth Murray Jr. (86 OVR).

Both sides of the ball are extremely solid, but that defense is downright scary. There is not a single starter ranked lower than 85 OVR, Casey Hayward Jr. at the CB3 spot. There is still plenty of time left for them to improve as well, with Justin Herbert likely to earn new cards considering the type of season he is having.

There is not much to cheer about on Sundays with the Los Angeles Chargers, but at least Madden 21 is trying to make the gaming experience more fun with an insane theme team. Small victories.
