CoreJJ Wins Honda MVP of the 2020 LCS Summer Split

Team Liquid support Jo "CoreJJ" Yong-in won the Honda MVP of the 2020 LCS Summer Split award Friday, Riot Games announced.
This is CoreJJ's second Honda MVP win following his performance in the 2019 spring split. He is only the second League of Legends Championship Series player to ever win two MVP titles, following Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg, who has won four.

CoreJJ was also named to the LCS All-Pro 1st Team for his performance in the 2020 summer split. He has appeared on two other LCS All-Pro 1st Teams and is widely considered one of the best support players in the league.
CoreJJ began his career in 2015 as a bot lane player in the North American LCS, but he left the region in 2016 to compete in League of Legends Champions Korea. That departure coincided with his swap to the support role that eventually saw him take second place at Worlds 2016 with SK Telecom T1. The next year, he and the team took the championship crown.
CoreJJ returned to the LCS in 2019 and quickly established himself as a premier support. With his Honda MVP of the Split win, Team Liquid adds its third award of 2020 to its trophy case. The team had already won the Coaching Staff of the Split and Rookie of the Year.
