Crack the Ritualist's Shard in Cyberpunk 2077: Everything You Need to Know

Locate the Shard

This Cyberpsycho Sighting is issued when the player discovers a specific sight after 8 p.m. located in Watson. Players have to first complete the Playing for Time story quest before this becomes available. When the player comes upon the site, it is apparent that some action has taken place, even if it was not the intended ritual. The player is then tasked to look for survivors, but there is only one left, and they die fairly quick. The Cultist Shard is on the fresh corpse.

Finding the Shard in the Inventory

This is one of the most difficult parts of dealing with the Shard. Youtuber WoW Quests posted a video on his YouTube account completing the entire challenge. For our visual learners, it might be easier to follow along with his one-minute clip.

The Shards are hidden in the inventory and players must pause and scroll over to the Journal tab. From there they have to open it up and find the Shards sub-tab. Shards are organized into different categories, and this Shard can be found under the name, "It's Time."

Cracking the Shard

The Shard, as expected, is encrypted, and players will have to crack it in order to read what's inside. Open up the Shard and it will reveal a Breach Puzzle. It is not the same puzzle every time, but the method for solving it remains the same.

Complete the puzzle and the gig should move onto its next phase. Sometimes the game does not recognize that the Shard has been cracked and will not progress properly. CD Projekt Red has yet to produce a fix for this bug.
