Crucible multiplayer is the game's main focus, and in fact it's the only mode of gameplay that Amazon Game Studios has revealed for its upcoming free-to-play third-person action shooter. Here's what we know about the multiplayer in Crucible so far.

Crucible Multiplayer: How Will Multiplayer Work in Crucible?

Amazon Game Studios announced three multiplayer game modes Crucible will include when it launches May 20.

The first game mode is called Heart of the Hives. Two teams of human players compete against one another, racing to capture objectives in the environment. They will fight both each other and the AI-controlled monsters that populate the jungles of Crucible.

The second, Alpha Hunters, puts eight teams of two players each in a free-for-all death match. The last team standing takes home the crown.

The third and final confirmed game mode is Harvester Command, in which two teams of eight players compete for control of objectives. Harvester Command also allows players to level up their characters over the course of the match.
