A Crucible Switch release would be a surprise to say the least. The upcoming action game from Amazon Game Studio is set to release May 20, but on which platforms will it arrive first? Here's what we know so far.

Crucible Switch: Will Crucible Receive a Switch Release?

Crucible is the first major video game release for Amazon's Amazon Game Studio, which is publishing the game. The game mixes elements of class shooters, battle royales and MOBAs in its third-person, sci-fi shooting action and objective-focused multiplayer modes.

When Crucible launches May 20, it will do so only on PCs, where it will be free-to-play. Amazon has yet to announce plans for any further releases on other platforms, including the Nintendo Switch.

While it's possible the game will eventually make its way to the Switch, nothing is certain in the midst of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Manufacturing has been disrupted the world over, making producing physical copies of new games tricky at best.
