Jacob "Jake" Lyon and Scott "Custa" Kennedy will join the Overwatch League Season 3 talent lineup, the league announced Thursday.

Jake has previously cast Overwatch Contenders alongside Andrew "ZP" Rush and the 2018 Overwatch World Cup. He'll move into the same role in the Overwatch League, while Custa will begin his tenure at the analyst desk.

Jake was the first of the two players to announce his retirement, revealing the decision Sunday. Custa's retirement arrived Thursday, just hours before the league revealed the two players' joining the talent team.

In an interview for the league website, Jake explained casting seemed the logical next step once he knew he wanted to depart playing.

"I'm excited to tell the stories of pro players to the world as faithfully as I can," he said.

Custa cited the desire to try something new and move into the entertainment side of esports.

Overwatch League Season 3 is scheduled to begin Feb. 8, 2020.
