Cyberpunk 2077 Install Size: How Much Storage Do You Need?
By Jack O'Dwyer

Cyberpunk 2077 install size could eat up quite a bit of storage space on players' devices.
CD Projekt Red has been working on its sci-fi action-RPG title, Cyberpunk 2077, since its first announcement in May 2012. The game has undergone several changes in the near-decade length of time of its development from ability changes to player perspective. It goes without saying that this includes its install file size, as well.

Cyberpunk 2077 Install Size
Cyberpunk 2077 will require 70 GB of data according to its listing on Steam. Other platforms—Xbox and PlayStation, specifically—will allegedly require the same amount of space. However, DBLTAP cannot confirm a definite install size for them at this time.
The last word from CD Projekt Red concerning the game's install size came from Marcin Momot, global community lead. In a tweet published on Sept. 2, 2020, Momot denied rumors from Reddit stating the game will take near 200 GB.
While the @CyberpunkGame system requirements are not out yet (they are coming soon, though!), I wanted to address this topic from reddit. The game won't take up 200GB when installed. You can expect the required HDD space to be on par with other modern titles. pic.twitter.com/tRigjPWLfC

It is, indeed, on par. Naughty Dog's The Last of Us: Part 2 clocked in around 78 GB while Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption is around 100 GB depending on the platform.
Cyberpunk is currently available for preload on Xbox. PC players can expect to begin their preload on Monday, Dec. 7, at either 6 or 11 a.m. according to their chosen retailer.
