By Andrew Lin

Cyberpunk 2077 Tapeworm had a gamebreaking glitch that was recently hotfixed. Cyberpunk 2077 is finally here, but the game has been plagued with many bugs and glitches. Some are minor, but others halt your progress during missions. This happens even with story quests, preventing you from advancing through the game.

The glitch in Tapeworm prevented you from speaking to Johnny after leaving the hotel. This would have kept you from being able to finish the quest.
New hotfix to #Cyberpunk2077 is now live on PlayStation consoles and PC. For Xbox systems, we are working to have the update out as soon as possible.

A hotfix issued by CD Projekt RED earlier on Saturday addressed many of the progress blocking bugs. According to the hotfix, it "[f]ixed an issue with a conversation with Johnny not starting after leaving the hotel in Tapeworm."
There are many glitches associated with Tapeworm, with some players triggering the quest too early and not being able to advance to Act 3. The hotfix promises to have "other quest fixes," but players on Reddit have still been encountering issues despite the patch.
If your Tapeworm quest is still glitched, you can try to do a Side Job to get the quest to refresh. Some players have also reported that you must go to a very specific location on the map to trigger the conversation with Johnny.
