Days Gone Hordes Not Appearing

Days Gone hordes not appearing has been a bug which is a bit of a bummer when the entire point of the game is fighting off zombie hordes in the post-apocalypse.
Developed by SIE Bend Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4, Days Gone is an open-world survival horror action game. Released April 26, Days Gone sees players take the role of Deacon St. John in post-apocalyptic Oregon.
Two years after a global pandemic, Deacon St. John is a drifter who is looking to escape his outlaw past when he learns that his wife Sarah, from whom he'd been separated at the start of the outbreak, may still be alive. Deacon must then ride off on his motorbike and armed with guns, melee weapons and whatever else can cave in a zombie skull to find the truth of her survival.
In this set-up, a key part of the experience is seeing the hordes of so-called "freakers" (read: zombies with another new, somewhat hilarious name) shambling through the wide world as a constant threat and reminder of the world's downfall.
So it's embarrassing when the hordes don't show up.

Each of Days Gone's sub-sections have shambling hordes that players will have to take out as part of sidequests. With hundreds of zombies in each of the 40 locations over the six regions, these would be an exciting challenge for players.
However, a bug has occurred for players wherein the hordes would not spawn upon arriving at the location.
Possible solutions are reloading a quick-save or former save, or rebooting the game. Another possible fix is sleeping until day at the NERO base, quick-saving at the bike and then reloading the game.
Developer SIE Bend Studio have yet to comment on this issue.
