The Coup De Grace mission in Destiny 2 is the final story mission in Season of the Hunt. It resolved the High Celebrant storyline that was the source of the main conflict this Season, and led to some interesting developments with the character Crow. However, the mission appears to have a bug that can block players from progressing. Today we'll be showing players how to bypass those bugs and complete the mission

As seen in this video by youtuber Esoterrick, the mission takes place in the Dreaming City location and involves the Ascendant Realm. The High Celebrant players are tracking down with Crow constantly teleports between the Ascendant Realm and the Dreaming City, and players are tasked with trapping the Celebrant and killing it in the Ascendant Realm. However, the mission comes with a nasty bug that can stop players from crossing over into the Realm if they try and rush through.

Destiny 2: Coup De Grace Mission Bugged

The boss fight for the mission is a multi phase fight where players damage the High Celebrant and force it on the run. The problem however, comes when players damage the High Celebrant too quickly. If they accidentally kill the boss where they're not supposed to, it can break the mission and force players to restart it. Not only that when the High Celebrant flees, it leaves behind black blight orbs that players must destroy to pursue. However, destroying them instantly can cause nothing to happen, and trap players in their current location.

The solution to the issue is something most players don't enjoy doing, but will be forced to. Have patience. Most players are accustomed to burning the boss as quickly as possible and speed running through the mission. However, in Coup De Grace, they'll have no choice but to wait in order to avoid the bug. Completing the mission unlocks the final cutscene of the storyline and gives out powerful rewards, as well as cryptolith upgrades for the seasonal activity.

The next Season for Destiny 2, Season of the Chosen, launches Tuesday, Feb. 9.
