Destiny 2: Lightfall has a release date and some interesting new powers for the guardians. Set in a futuristic world, the cosmetics and powers give off a cyberpunk vibe while still remaining in the universe of Destiny.
It looks like Calus is back with a revamped army as he tries to serve the Witness.
Players will travel to Neptune and explore a hidden city called Neomuna and meet potential allies in Cloudstriders. The game will also introduce a new darkness power for Guardians called the Strand.
The game is also bringing LFG feature allowing players to find fireteams inside the game of Destiny. before, players had to use third-party services to find teammates. Bungie is also working on its UIs for multiple menus including the mod and weapon menu. This should help players organize and visualize their equipment better. There will also be commendations players can reward each other after missions or strikes, allowing players to pair up with other players of similar a mindset.
Bungie will continue to update and reveal new parts of the expansion in the coming months as players can expect to play Lightfall on Feb. 28, 2023.
