Blizzard announced Diablo 4 at BlizzCon Friday, debuting the game's first cinematic and gameplay trailers.

In the trailer, four adventurers explore a forbidden vault beneath the earth. After gaining access to the vault, one of the adventurers reveals himself to be a dark priest and uses the blood of the other three to summon Lilith, the daughter of Mephisto.

Following a short presentation from Diablo man, Blizzard debuted a second, gameplay-focused trailer showing off the game's first three classes: the barbarian, the sorceress and the druid.

The sorceress uses elemental spells in combat, while the barbarian employs brute force and the druid transforms into various animals. Each was shown engaging in fluid, real-time combat both against monsters and other players, as the game will feature both PVE and PVP elements.

Blizzard also announced a playable demo on the convention floor.

Though no release date was revealed, Blizzard confirmed Diablo 4 to be developed for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
