Dignitas Benches GeT_RiGhT and Xizt

Dignitas took Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund and Richard "Xizt" Landström off of its active roster Wednesday.

"It is with a heavy heart that we announce GeT_RiGhT and Xist have been benched from our team's starting roster," the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team said in a statement. "Our recent results have not lived up to our fans' expectations and after discussing with all of our players, we agreed this is the correct step moving forward."

Dignitas assured fans it would continue to support both fan-favorite players as they figured out the next steps in their careers. Meanwhile, the team plans to share information about the search for two new players early next week.

The decision is tied to GeT_RiGhT's persistent health problems. The veteran player said he and the team arrived at the departure from the active roster mutually, saying on Twitter it, "was clear that now was the time to make a change."

Dignitas' remaining active members include Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg, Adam "friberg" Friberg, Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli and coach Robin "Johansson" Fifflaren.
