Raven Software Already Alters the DMR Buff From Latest Warzone Update

Raven Software went pretty hard at the weapon meta in the latest Season 5 Reloaded patch. It also includes several additions to the playlist, new game modes, and maps. And it wasn't just weapons that were changed, as two attachments were also tweaked, specifically barrels and rear grips.

Streamers immediately found success using the improved DMR and it looks like Raven Software overestimated the weapon's ability.

Here are just the TR changes which include the controversial DMR 14 changes.

Tactical Rifles (TRs)

DMR 14

  • Black Ops Cold War version
  • Recoil adjusted as a "rework"

  • Black Ops Cold War version
  • Weapon Kick decreased

TR Charlie

  • Black Ops Cold War version
  • Recoil decreased

Type 63

  • Black Ops Cold War version
  • Headshot Multiplier decreased from 2.1 to 1.58
  • Neck Multiplier increased from 1.2 to 1.58
  • Upper Torso Multiplier decreased from 1.2 to 1
  • Lower Torso Multiplier decreased from 1.1 to 1
  • Weapon Kick decreased

As you can see, it's a rather small change. They simply reverted the recoil changes. But that was enough. Then Raven Software released a new update Friday morning.

But instead of reverting the recoil changes for a third time, Raven Software decreased the damage multiplayer. The DMR’s neck and upper torso multipliers have each been decreased from 1.1 to 1.0.

Hopefully, this allows the weapon to function as intended without being too powerful or useless.
