Do You Need PlayStation Plus to Play Splitgate?
Thankfully, being that Splitgate is a free-to-play game, the Portal-meets-Halo arena shooter is free to download, install and play for all PlayStation players, regardless of their PS Plus membership status.
The same goes for all other free-to-play titles that have online features such as Fortnite, Apex Legends and Call of Duty: Warzone.
However, players will need a PS Plus subscription in order to play premium online multiplayer games such as Black Ops Cold War and MLB The Show 21.
Splitgate's free-to-play open beta is available to play on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and PS5.
The Splitgate beta recently blew up in popularity, and all that extra attention has prompted developer 1047 Games to extend the beta indefinitely, indicating that the studio is committed to striking while the iron's hot and riding out the title's newfound, viral popularity.
