Unfortunately for Xbox users, playing the Battlefield 2042 open beta will require an Xbox Live Gold subscription. This comes from an official Battlefield 2042 FAQ published by Electronic Arts.

Players looking to try out the Battlefield 2042 open beta will need to connect to the internet no matter what platform they're on, as the game won't be playable offline.

Battlefield 2042 launches Nov. 19.
