Does Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles Support Crossplay?
By Jack O'Dwyer
Demon Slayer fans are interested to learn whether or not the upcoming game supports cross play. We have the answer.
Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles released on Oct. 13 and already has players battling their way through favored series antagonists using beloved characters such as Tanjiro Kamado, Hashibira Inosuke, and more. The game has quite a few competitive modes including a Ranked tier where players can pit their skills against other slayers the world over.
That said, there has been some confusion regarding whether or not those opponents can come from other platforms.
Is Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles Crossplay?
No, Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles does not support cross play at the time of writing.
This is particularly disappointing considering the genre it will be entering into. Fighting-style games thrive with a litany of opponents available to pit against each other. By not supporting cross play, the game significantly cuts down on the amount of available combinations.
However, this doesn’t mean it will never support the feature. It’s not uncommon for studios to add in elements such as cross play and cross progression post-launch. It’s always possible that SEGA could be looking into it as we speak.
Unfortunately, at the time of writing, it is not supported.
Demon Slayer will be available for the PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Series S|X, and PC.
