Does Kirby and the Forgotten Land Have Co-op?

Kirby games have a niche, but passionate fanbase, with the adorable pink ball having an enormous volume of games on Nintendo's handheld market, along with a few console games like Kirby 64.

So when the announcement for Kirby and the Forgotten Land came around, fans and non-fans alike were excited for a full 3D Kirby game.

With design choices that seem to have taken inspiration from Super Mario Odyssey and Pokemon Legends: Arceus the game is set to be an exciting romp through a new Kirby adventure. Some fans have wondered whether or not their new Kirby game can be played co-operatively. With parents buying the game to play with their kids, or two roommates looking for a fun Friday night, this could make or break the game for them.

Does Kirby and the Forgotten Land Have Co-op?

Fortunately, the answer to that question is yes, the whole game is playable in a split-screen co-op. While the first player will remain as Kirby, obviously, the co-op partner will be able to play as the recurring character Bandana Waddle Dee, who can't use a copy ability but does have access to a short-range spear for self defense.

While this does limit the partner's ability to an extent, it can still be a lot of fun and allows for a limited amount of co-op. It's disappointing that there isn't more variety for co-op, but at the end of the day, it's nice to just have it as an optional add-on feature.
