Doom Eternal Completionist Bug: How to Fix the Bug

Doom Eternal completionist bug has appeared for those trying to complete the Gunpletionist trophy on the PlayStation 4. While plenty of players have finished the campaign and stapled their mastery on the demonic horde, plenty are still trying to complete every achievement.

And sadly, many players have posted problems trying to get certain achievements or trophies, especially ones around completing multiple gun challenges.

It might be an obvious fix, but if you have used any type of cheat in the game, it will affect your trophies or achievements, so that may be your first problem. According to multiple posts online, the bug has appeared on multiple challenges, "I used my mastery tokens and mastered few mods that I don't want to do them manually, and so before final lvl I completely mastered all mods with 1 mastery token in my inventory, but achievement didn't popped and milestone shows that plasma gun, ballista and chaingun are in fact 1/2 mastered, meanwhile I can use all mods and all Master abilities/mods. Tried resetting the console yet no avail. Any ideas? Or do I have to start again?"

The same person updated the post and stated he finished the trophy collection after completing them on Extra Life Mode. Other posts have similar problems before also fixing the problem through the Extra Life Mode.
