DOOM Eternal's Marauders are causing quite a headache for some players.

As with all games, there may be one or two enemies that become infamous over its story. It appears that Marauders may be placing their mark in this book. They are among some of the fiercest enemies you will find in DOOM and can be incessantly frustrating if you don't know how to take them down.

Fortunately, there are plenty of ways to make these fights easier for you. Here are our tips on how to defeat Marauders in DOOM Eternal.

Marauder Tips: How to Defeat the Marauders

You'll first encounter Marauders at the end of the ARC Complex mission. This enemy itself is an imposing sight, but nothing you aren't already used to by now.

Your first instinct will most likely be to stay at a certain range and watch. This is fine, as they'll be facing you with an impenetrable Argent shield. Just beware not to stand too far off for two long. This enemy has spirit wolves it can summon to hunt you down. They also like to throw their weapons at you for a great deal of damage. Ultimately, you'll find the gap between the two of you closing, and the Marauder looking to take you out with its super shotgun.

Don't be afraid. This is where your job begins. Wait for their eyes to flash green before launching your attack. Green quite literally means go, here. It's a sign that they're about to drop their shield and make a move on you.

Some players have reported success with splash damage from grenades, as well, but this method may be a bit lengthier than intended. This can be a good supplementary tactic if you don't mind taking the time to burn the guy down.

Additionally, you'll want to make sure you put down the ghost hounds every time they get summoned. Leaving them to bother you can take a toll on your health.

When their eyes glow orange, that's the signal for you to step in with a glory kill.

Remember to stay calm, Slayer. Don't let the adds overwhelm you.
