Dota 2 7.23b Update Released
By Nathan Fusco

Dota 2 7.23b update has arrived and is bringing a bevy of changes to items and hero abilities. As usual with more "B" updates, it peels back on a few of the initial changes to the patch and makes any necessary adjustments based off of player feedback.
Twelve different heroes were adjusted and a host of neutral items also received changes, and Valve has removed Tome of Aghanim from the game.

Dota 2 is always looking to change things up, so there should be no surprise Valve was willing to remove an item after a 48 hour lifespan.
What was surprising is the buff to the newest heroes in the game. Instead of immediately nerfing new characters after being too strong on release, it seems Valve under-calculated the heroes. Snapfire and Void Spirit were both buffed significantly with changes to their kit and base stats. Out of the two, Void Spirit seems to be the closest to complete with only slight changes compared to Snapfire.
It's not surprising as ranged heroes are always more difficult to balance than melee. You want to give ranged heroes a chance to damage at range without making them impossible to close in on.
