Dota 2 Roster Shuffle: 5 Players Who Need a New Team

Dota 2 roster shuffle time is upon us with the conclusion of The International 9. Old pros are looking to come back into the scene, and displaced pros might be looking to form new teams. Here are five players who could use a change of scenery:

Dota 2 Roster Shuffle: 5 Players Who Need a New Team

1. Peter "ppd" Dager

Since Evil Geniuses exploded back into the Dota scene in 2013-14, ppd has been at the heart of North American Dota. NIP had a decent year, but its early elimination from TI likely spells the death of the roster.

2. Pan "Fade" Yi

After this year's TI, Fade got caught up in some drama with Vici Gaming and RNG, and now he's announced his retirement from Dota. He's a fantastic support player and we hope to see him in the future, either on a Chinese team or a Western team.

3. Troels "Synderen" Nielson

Synderen has a reputation these days as a caster rather than a player, but his roots keep calling back to him.

4. Dominik "Black^" Retmeier

Black^ has been a TI contender since 2012, at times vying for the title of best carry player in the world. Most recently, he played in Infamous' pre-TI lineup.

5. Jacky "EternaLEnVy" Mao

EternaLEnVy is a divisive player known for making big plays, struggling in big-time moments, and using anime mods for Dota (back when it was easier to do). There's a rumor going around right now that he's putting together a team, based on a deleted tweet.
