Dying Light 2 delay was recently announced. The upcoming survival horror RPG is still in development at Techland, with Square Enix publishing. Here's what we know about the game so far.

Dying Light 2 Delay: Has Dying Light 2 Been Delayed?

Square Enix announced Dying Light 2 during the Microsoft press conference at E3 2018, revealing the game would feature a post-apocalyptic city full of warring factions. Players will shape the world through decisions they make, facing consequences good and bad.

At the following E3, Square Enix shed light on the game's story and assigned it a release window: spring 2020. No more precise information has since been released.

Square Enix has not shared any information about a delay. Within a certain time range, it wouldn't even need to, as the public wouldn't know the difference between a March release date and a May release date — both are in spring.

UPDATE (12:25 p.m. ET Jan. 20): Dying Light 2 has been delayed indefinitely, developer Techland announced Monday.

Although a set date has not been revealed, the developers said the game will not make its initial spring 2020 deadline.
