In Dying Light 2 Stay Human, the GRE crate locations are extremely valuable to be aware of as they are where players can find Inhibitors.

Considering that collecting Inhibitors is the key to upgrading your Health and Stamina, and thus your Combat and Parkour Skills, they are one of the most important collectibles in the game. There are 126 Inhibitors hidden across Dying Light 2’s two maps in GRE Quarantine Zones, GRE Anomalies, Military Airdrops, Metro Stations and even random locations. Here's a breakdown of the Dying Light 2 Stay Human GRE crate locations.

Dying Light 2 GRE Crate Locations: How to Find Inhibitor Containers

From the beginning of the game, players will come across their first six Inhibitors just by playing the main missions: three from Hakon right after an incident at the Bazaar and another three during the "Markers of Plague" quest.

The other 120 Inhibitors are hidden across Old Villedor and Central Loop in:

  • GRE Anomalies: An area will be guarded by a special, powerful infected Revenant that usually appears at night. Defeat them first to access the nearby Inhibitor.
  • GRE Quarantine Zones: Quarantined-off buildings filled with infected. Sneak or fight your way through to reach up to three Inhibitor crate(s) hidden inside, and complete the mission to receive four guaranteed.
  • Military Airdrops: Crates of goods that have been parachuted in, and thus usually (and inconveniently) are found on top of very high buildings.
  • Metro Stations: Inhibitor containers can sometimes appear in stations after powering them.
  • Random Locations: Whether they're in Dark Hollows with Volatiles or simply sitting in a Safe and tied to a clue, Inhibitors can sometimes found randomly as well.

Ultimately, all of the Inhibitors can be found along the way while doing quests and side quests, however, unlocking the GRE Detector and all of the Nightrunner Tools will eventually allow you to see them on the map and find any you've missed.
