ESL Reportedly to Move Australian CS:GO Tournament From Sydney to Melbourne

ESL will host its 2020 Australian tournament in Melbourne instead of Sydney, according to a report from Snowball Esports.
The tournament will take place at Melbourne park instead of Qudos Bank Arena, per Snowball Esports, marking the first IEM CS:GO event to be hosted in Melbourne. Although dates for the tournament have yet to be announced, sources indicate the event will coincide with the Melbourne Open. Last year's Melbourne Open took place at the end of August into the start of September.
We normally send @DannyKimHD out just before our big events, but for #IEM this year, he wanted to queue up early.

ESL itself announced the departure from Sydney on Tuesday via a Twitter video.
The move from Sydney to Melbourne comes after years of fan requests for an IEM event to be held in Melbourne. Whether or not the move is permanent remains unknown.
ESL has not confirmed Melbourne as the new location.
IEM Sydney is widely considered one of the most explosive events in the CS:GO calendar year. Team Liquid took home 2019's trophy in the absence of both Natus Vincere and Astralis.
