ESO Midyear Mayhem has finally returned.

The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) annual event, Midyear Mayhem, will be returning to Cyrodiil and the Imperial City June 25 at 10 a.m. through to July 7 at 10 a.m. This event is primarily PvP focused—taking place exclusively in the PvP zones of the game. Participating in this event provides extra XP, gold, items, and bragging rights as you step onto the front lines of the Three Banners War.

For those of us who are "first-time soldiers," the introductory quest can be picked up from the in-game Crown store. The quest will direct you to an NPC named "Priestess Maera," who will explain the intricacies to you and award you a Scroll of Pelinal's Ferocity and your first Midyear Boon Box.

The event itself is pretty straight forward. Use the scroll to increase your experience gained from player kills and Alliance Points from completing objectives. It goes without saying that this event is the best opportunity players have to grind their Alliance War rank.

This year, Midyear Mayhem will feature an assortment of new prizes. Players can look to find pages of the Legion Zero and Second Legion outfit style, as well as emblems toward the Standard-Bearer emote.

Boon Boxes will be added on to your usual Rewards for the Worthy and contain housing items, Prismatic runestones, unique siege weapons, style items for the Akaviri and your Alliance, transmute crystals, alchemy reagents, and more.

Players can also earn Event Tickets for completing Cyrodiil, Battleground, or Imperial City objectives. These tickets can be traded via the Impresario for any of the rewards listed above—as well as additional berries to continue working toward the Icebreath Indrik.

As always, players can continue making progress toward attaining the Midyear Laurel Wreath cosmetic by completing Midyear Mayhem achievements.
