Evil Geniuses Defeats Astralis to Win ESL One New York
The North American organization returned to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive right before the Big Apple event acquiring NRG Esports' roster. The team recently finished top four at the StarLadder Berlin Major after adding Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz as in-game leader.
Astralis, albeit the best CS:GO team of all time, still has yet to lift an ESL One trophy.
EG's championship cements the decision to acquire the roster during a weekend in which the organization also re-entered League of Legends by acquiring Echo Fox's LCS franchise slot.
Evil Geniuses and Astralis both travel to Sweden for CORSAIR DreamHack Masters Malmo this week.
