FIFA 20 closed beta codes were sent out last Thursday letting fans get their hands on the newest entry in the franchise.

The FIFA 20 closed beta lets players test out different aspects of the game including FIFA Ultimate Team, the new Volta mode, career and kick-off. The beta runs Aug. 9-22. Beta invites only gave out specific modes to certain players.

Here's how to get a FIFA 20 closed beta code.

FIFA 20 Closed Beta Codes: How to Get One

Unfortunately, for those who wanted a beta code badly, invites were sent out sparingly and randomly to FIFA players, though all verified players were invited.

If you were skilled enough to finish in the Top 100 for FUT Champions during FIFA 19, a beta code was yours. Otherwise, it was up to sheer luck if you received one. Even worse, the modes handed out in the beta codes were random as well. Some got to test out Pro Clubs, others got to just test out Ultimate Team. If you haven't gotten one now in your email, better luck next year.

FIFA 20 releases Sept. 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
