FIFA 21 Icon SBCs: How To Get Them

FIFA 21's Icon Squad Builder Challenges (SBCs) have been released in EA Sports' FIFA 21: Ultimate Team.

These SBC challenges rank among the most coveted in all of FIFA's Ultimate Team mode as they enable players the opportunity to acquire cards for some of the most iconic football players to have ever graced the world's game. Below you will find an in-depth look into what Icons are available in these SBCs as well as how you can go about obtaining them for your team.

Which Players Are Available?

Currently FIFA have only listed three players in the SBCs Icon tab, but presumably we can expect them to add more in the coming months. These three players are Javier Zanetti, Edwin Van Der Sar, and Luis Figo. It is worth noting that these players will only be available for the next 25 days, after which they will no longer be in SBCs.

Like many of the rare card variants that have made their way into FIFA 21, these players have both a Loan option as well as the standard option. Below you will find the steps needed to acquire each variant of these rewards should you wish to attempt these challenges.

Loan Icon SBCs Rewards

Javier Zanetti


To receive the Javier Zanetti Loan card FIFA players must make a team that meets the following requirements:

  • Serie A TIM Players: Minimum of 1
  • Rare Players: Minimum of 2
  • Gold Players: Minimum of 6
  • Team Chemistry: Minimum of 75
  • Number of players in the Squad: 11

Edwin Van Der Sar

To receive the Edwin Van Der Sar Loan card FIFA players must make a team that meets the following requirements:

  • Premier League Players: Minimum of 1
  • Rare Players: Minimum of 2
  • Gold Players: Minimum of 7
  • Team Chemistry: Minimum of 75
  • Number of players in the Squad: 11

Luis Figo

To receive the Luis Figo Loan card FIFA players must make a team that meets the following requirements:

  • La Liga Santander Players: Minimum of 1
  • Rare Players: Exactly 11
  • Player Quality: Exactly Gold
  • Team Overall Rating: 60
  • Number of players in the Squad: 11
