An update to the Microsoft store appears to indicate both FIFA 22 and Battlefield 2042 are coming to Xbox Game Pass.

Although neither Microsoft nor Electronic Arts has confirmed the games will become available through Xbox's rotating list of members-only free games, both games now bear the Game Pass logo on the Microsoft store (H/T XGP, Eurogamer). Stronger evidence of an upcoming Game Pass release short of an official announcement would be hard to imagine, let alone find.

FIFA 22 came out in October 2021, followed by Battlefield 2042 a month later. Both games will have been available for purchase for around six months if they do arrive on Game Pass this month. For now, they're available through EA Play and as individual purchasees. As of writing, FIFA 22 is on sale for $27.99 — $42 less than retail.
