FIFA 22 League Upgrade SBCs: How to Complete Efficiently During TOTY

Throughout Team of the Year in FIFA 22, EA will be releasing plenty of grindable Squad Building Challenge sets to allow players to craft packs to pack their favorite TOTY players. Currently in the SBC section, there are regular and premium SBC upgrade SBCs for the top five leagues.

FIFA 22 TOTY SBC Packs: How to Complete

If you do so wisely, these SBCs can be grinded to stack your club with players and packs for the rest of TOTY. Especially with the Ligue 1 and Premier League packs, saving these packs for when all 12 TOTYs are in packs can give you the best chance at getting one. Here's how to efficiently complete and grind the TOTY upgrades SBCs in FIFA 22.

For any of the League upgrade SBCs, you can follow a similar format to get the most out of them. SpreadsheetFifa provides a guide on one of the many ways you can grind each of the upgrades.

You can start off by buying 44 rare gold cards, which you can grab on the transfer market. From there, complete four premium upgrade SBCs for whichever league you desire. We suggest the Premier League and Ligue 1 upgrades because they contain all of the best TOTY cards, and as the midfield is all Premier League and the defense is Premier League and Ligue 1 only.

Once you've started recycling a decent amount of rare items and commons and you don't find yourself buying many more players, you'll be able to consistently craft the packs for cheap.

It's important to know a few things when grinding league upgrade SBCs. For one, it isn't going to be a huge coin maker, the grind is about bolstering your club with fodder, and if you're lucky, special cards. The more packs you have, the more chances at a TOTY. If you just want to make coins to buy TOTYs, this method may not be the best since you'll be getting mostly untradeable content in return.

Secondly, one thing that's advised with grinding the SBC upgrades is practicing no-man-left-behind. To sum it up, unless a duplicate is tradeable, you should always try to insert duplicate cards into more SBCs to make up for not being able to add them to your club, instead of discarding them. This adds much more time and effort, but at the same time, ensures that not a single card is wasted in this grind.

Third and arguably most importantly, it is called SBC grinding for a reason. It is a grind. You will unlikely pack a TOTY on the first go, but as you progress and grind, you'll find yourself with a stacked club full of players to complete other upgrade SBCs, player SBCs like Flashback Harry Kane, and enough fodder to last you until long after TOTY. If you are lucky enough to pack a TOTY from the grind, then even better. But most likely, it will take time and commitment.
