FIFA 23 86+ Base or World Cup Hero Player Pick SBC went live Dec. 27 during the Winter Wildcards promotion.
Heroes returned in FIFA 23 as a special player type akin to Icons. EA Sports also partnered with Marvel for the World Cup update for World Cup Heroes. These Heroes are upgraded and have special dynamic images inspired by Marvel. World Cup Heroes are out of packs and have been for some time, but a new SBC gives FIFA Ultimate Team players a chance to add them to their squads.

Here's how to complete the FIFA 23 86+ Base or World Cup Hero Player Pick SBC:
Segment 1
- Squad Rating: 84
- No Chemistry Requirement
- Players in the Squad: 11
- REWARD: Gold Players Pack
Segment 2
- Squad Rating: 86
- No Chemistry Requirement
- Players in the Squad: 11
- REWARD: Rare Gold Pack
The SBC contains a player pick with two items to choose from. Both items will be 86 rated or higher and either a Base Hero or a World Cup Hero. As far as price is concerned, it's not terrible value. The concern is that both players to choose from are Base Heroes that are below the power curve at this point in the cycle. Still, there's a chance of packing some of the best players in the game. If you have the fodder, it's worth a shot. As well, there's plenty of ways to generate fodder now with Winter League Upgrades and player picks available.
