FIFA 23 TOTY League Upgrade SBC: How to Grind Team of the Year Upgrades

FIFA 23 League Upgrades are now live during Team of the Year meaning the grind can truly begin for those coveted Ultimate Team items.

Mondays have become "Upgrade Day" in FIFA Ultimate Team where EA Sports releases a special repeatable SBC to grind for promotions. League Upgrade SBCs are crucial for the Team of the Year grinding as players go through recycling items into packs in hopes of packing a special item. These upgrade SBCs are broken down into basic and Premium versions for each of the top five leagues.

As well, there are Team of the Year SBC objective sets giving players even more packs.

FIFA 23 TOTY League Upgrade SBC: How to Grind Team of the Year Upgrades

Here's how to complete the basic Premier League, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, LaLiga and Serie A Upgrade SBCs:

• Player Quality: Min. Gold
• Item Rarity: Min. Common
• No Chemistry Requirement
• Players in the Squad: 11
• REWARD: League Specific Three Player Pack (1 Rare Item)

Here's how to complete the Premium Premier League, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, LaLiga and Serie A Upgrade SBCs:

• One Segment
• Rare Players: 11
• Player Quality: Gold
• No Chemistry Requirement
• Players in the Squad: 11
• REWARD: Eight League Specific Players Pack (3 Rare)

All packs are untradeable.

Premium League Upgrades have been nerfed this Team of the Year including only eight players in a pack. Previously, it was 12 players in a pack with three rare items. Now, players are short four items which will impact the frequency of recycling.

There are two objective sets as well: TOTY Premium Upgrade SBC Beginner and TOTY Premium Upgrade SBC Veteran. Here's how to complete both:

• TOTY Premier League Upgrade - Complete the Premium PL Upgrade Once - 180 XP
• TOTY Ligue 1 Upgrade - Complete the Premium Ligue 1 Upgrade Once - 180 XP
• TOTY LaLiga Upgrade - Complete the Premium LaLiga Upgrade Once - 180 XP
• TOTY Bundesliga Upgrade - Complete the Premiujm Bundesliga Upgrade Once - 180 XP
• TOTY Serie A Upgrade - Complete the Premium Serie A Upgrade Once - 180 XP

Completing the full Beginner objective set will net players an additional 180 XP and an 81+ Two Rare Gold Players Pack

FIFA 23 TOTY Premium Upgrade SBC Veteran Objective

• TOTY Premier League Upgrade 25 - Complete the Premium PL Upgrade 25 times - Eight Premier League Players Pack
• TOTY Premium League Upgrade 50 - Complete the Premium PL Upgrade 50 times - Eight Premier League Players Pack
• TOTY Ligue 1 Upgrade 25 - Complete the Premium Ligue 1 Upgrade 25 times - Eight Ligue 1 Players Pack
• TOTY Ligue 1 Upgrade 50 - Complete the Premium Ligue 1 Upgrade 50 Times - Eight Ligue 1 Players Pack
• TOTY Bundesliga Upgrade 10 - Complete the Premium Bundesliga Upgrade 10 times - Eight Serie A Players Pack
• TOTY Bundesliga Upgrade 25 - Complete the Premium Bundesliga Upgrade 25 times - Eight Serie A Players Pack

Each objective rewards 180 XP and the full objective set once completed awards 10,000 XP. All packs back are untradeable.

As of writing, it's a bit strange from EA that only the Premier League and Ligue 1 objectives in the Veteran set reward packs from those leagues. Perhaps that's an error and it will be remedied, or that's intended from EA Sports.
