Fortnite 'Gamora Cup' Cosmetic Tournament Announced

Epic Games has announced the arrival of a new tournament meant to celebrate the appearance of Gamora in Fortnite.
This has become something of a trend with Epic upon the release of a new major outfit or cosmetic in Fortnite. Each unique character—typically from either Marvel or DC Comics—has received a competition meant to give players the chance to obtain the cosmetic before it drops in the Item Shop. With a little effort, the best performing players in each region can compete to earn the Gamora Outfit in Fortnite later this week

Fortnite Gamora Cup Tournament Explained
The Gamora Cup it set to kick off on Wednesday, Aug. 11 for all regions.
Players must be at least 18-years old or have the permission of an appropriate guardian. They must have Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), of course, and remain on the same device throughout the competition. Their account must be in good standing, as well.
Duos teams—made of two players—will compete for three hours in a maximum of 10 matches. Within that time, they'll have the opportunity to earn points based on their placement and the number of eliminations made during matches. The breakdown of how those points will be awarded is as follows:
- Victory Royale: 42 Points
- 2nd: 36 Points
- 3rd: 32 Points
- 4th: 30 Points
Points decrease by one from 5th place through 24th. At 25th place, point allocation is broken up into brackets as such:
- 25th-29th: 9 Points
- 30th-34th: 6 Points
- 35th-39th: 3 Points
- 40th-44th: 2 Points
- 45th-50th: 1 Point
Each player elimination will award the team with one additional point.
Winners will be chosen according to the highest amount of points scored, highest total Victory Royales, the largest number of average eliminations, highest average placement, and the longest amount of time survived in-match.
Despite placement, every player who scores at least eight points will be awarded the cup-exclusive "Daughter of Thanos" spray. Top-performing duos in each region will also receive the Gamora Outfit and Gamora's Cloak Back Bling.
