Fortnite Infantry Rifle Epic and Legendary Rarities Added in Fortnite Patch 8.40

Fortnite infantry rifle epic and legendary rarities were added Wednesday in Fortnite Patch 8.40, Epic Games announced.
The single shot precision rifle received upgrades granting players new weapons to play in hopes of securing victory royales.

Fortnite Infantry Rifle Epic and Legendary Rarities Added in Fortnite Patch 8.40
Here's a detailed breakdown on the new Fortnite Infantry Rifles from the 8.40 patch notes:
Infantry Rifle
- Added Epic and Legendary Infantry Rifle Variants
- Epic rarity deals 42 damage on hit
- Legendary rarity deals 44 damage on hit
- Can be found from Floor Loot, Chests, Supply Drops and Vending Machines
- Uses medium ammo
The Infantry Rifle previously had uncommon and rare variants, but now it's got two new versions. The uncommon and rare have an M1 Garand appearance, while the the epic and legendary variants have a more modern rifle look.
The gun is 100% accurate when aiming down sights making it a valuable weapon in the hands of precise shooters. It also has a headshot multiplier of two. The only downside to the weapon is its eight round magazine.
The Egg Launcher also returned this patch in honor of Easter.
Fortnite Patch 8.40 is now live on all platforms.
