Fortnite Leaker Reveals New Heavy Mortar Weapon in Season 4

Fortnite leakers have discovered a new Heavy Mortar weapon after the latest patch, 14.50, went live and it is could be coming as soon as the next Season 4 update.

One of the most exciting aspects of Fortnite is the never-ending change of weapons and items. It keeps the game fresh by allowing players to always be on their toes with their loadouts. This season has already seen a ton of new weapons thanks to the Marvel collaboration such as the Stark Rifle and the legendary superhero items.

Now data miners are stirring up rumors that a new Heavy Mortar weapon could be introduced to the game as soon as the next Season 4 update goes live. Reputable leaker, Parallax, tweeted about the new leak:

It is also discovered that the new weapon will use Rocket Ammo. This is important because Epic Games has not been too keen on Rocket launchers throughout the Marvel season. They reintroduced the Pumpkin Grenade Launcher with Fortnitemares, but that was the first time players had seen the weapon in awhile.

Interestingly enough, this is not the first time we have heard of a heavy-type weapon. Another Fortnite data miner, Mang0e_, posted a tweet back on Sept. 28 about files he had seen on a potential new weapon.

While the new Heavy Mortar might not end up being what Mang0e_ reported back in September, there are a bunch of similarities. Both the new Heavy Mortar and the item Mang0e_ reported on would do a great deal of damage on opponents while both using Rocket Ammo.

We still don't know for sure when the new Heavy Mortar will be introduced into the game. It could be as early as v14.60 update, or players will have to sit tight and wait until Fornite Season 5 in a few weeks.
