Data miners have uncovered new information that may indicate a major tournament for Fortnite's Season 6. Season 6 is believed to launch sometime in the middle of March 2021.

One such data miner is VastBlast, who claims that Fortnite's LiveBroadcasting server has been updated to be ready for the season six launch (v16.00 patch).

VastBlast goes on to speculate that this could be because Epic Games are planning a new major tournament. This will then go live during Season 6. Although again this is all still up in the air as there has been no confirmation from Epic Games.

Apparently, the last time that the server was updated was for the DreamHack event in Jan. 2021 which took place in Anaheim, Ca. DreamHack was the last in-person Fortnite tournament before lockdown began last March. So it is clear to see why VastBlast has jumped to the conclusion that such a big tournament might be scheduled to welcome in Season 6.

Unfortunately this is still all just speculation. While Epic Games have not come forward with anything, it is supposedly not long now until season six begins. So gamers and fans alike won't need to wait too long at least to find out the truth.
