Fortnite leakers have uncovered some promotional images that could point toward a new open-world game mode mentioned in the Epic vs. Apple lawsuit.

It appears that the content mentioned in the previous Epic Games vs. Apple Inc. lawsuit has quite some truth to it. Over time, we've seen several pieces within the paperwork make their way center stage—e.g.: Ariana Grande's recent appearance in the Rift Tour. So, it shouldn't surprise Fortnite fans that the game's team of data miners and informants have discovered some promotional images hinting at yet another content tease.

Here's what we know about the leaks.

New Open World Game Mode Could be Headed to Fortnite

Leakers first posted the images around 5:30 p.m. with @ShiinaBR noting they had only been added to the "API" 15 minutes earlier.

"Normally, these images are used for Creative LTMs but this image looks.. very unusual." They wrote.

The images allegedly come from a Limited-Time Mode—or, at least, a mode similar—codenamed "Saturn." @HYPEX notes that the lawsuit paperwork previously described the company's desire to "Go beyond Battle Royale - open-world simulation sandbox."

According to @iFireMonkey, the "Saturn_Test" LTM has been removed from the game as of the late afternoon on Tuesday, Aug. 10—only ~20 minutes after the leaks went live. The mode test was only active for about half an hour.

Still, that was enough time for fans to run wild with theories. Some proposed that Epic was planning a RPG-like mode to provide an alternate avenue of content for those uninterested or otherwise burned out on Battle Royale.

"Peely as Mage, Jonesy as Knight, Cuddle Team Leader as Ranger, Fishstick as Gladiator," @ShiinaBR continued, naming each character and their supposed class from the image.

Others weren't as thrilled. @Lucas7yoshi called it "cheap mobile rpg game looking." Their commenters agreed, making jokes like "Raid: Fortnite Legends" and remarking that it looked like Clash of Clans.

There is no potential release date or additional details around this mode at the time of writing.
