Fortnite Network Failure When Attempting to Check Service Status: Bug Prevents Logins
Starting Saturday afternoon Fortnite players began reporting an inability to log into the game. The official Fortnite account first commented on the problem around 9 a.m. ET, stating the development team was working on a solution.
At 10 a.m. ET Epic Games announced the problem had been resolved and invited players to log in. Players quickly began to report that the error message continued to appear on login attempts.
Around 1 p.m. ET Epic Games again stated it was investigating the cause of the error. No further news has yet been shared.
As a result of the login problems, Epic Games delayed the Championship Series tournament start times by two hours. The new schedule is available on the Fortnite Twitter account.
