A Fortnite bug is giving players an error message reading "Network failure when attempting to check service status," as it prevents them from logging into the game. Here's what you need to know.

Starting Saturday afternoon Fortnite players began reporting an inability to log into the game. The official Fortnite account first commented on the problem around 9 a.m. ET, stating the development team was working on a solution.

At 10 a.m. ET Epic Games announced the problem had been resolved and invited players to log in. Players quickly began to report that the error message continued to appear on login attempts.

Around 1 p.m. ET Epic Games again stated it was investigating the cause of the error. No further news has yet been shared.

As a result of the login problems, Epic Games delayed the Championship Series tournament start times by two hours. The new schedule is available on the Fortnite Twitter account.
