Fortnite Summer Escape Adds New Reality Augments: Full List

Fortnite Summer Escape introduced two new Reality Augments designed to improve player mobility in Chapter 4 Season 3.

Despite the addition of Shockwave Grenades, Fortnite WILDS still lacks a true mobility item. Without the Kinetic Blade or Spider-Verse Web Shooters, players cannot efficiently rotate or push teams, especially in Zero Build. Fortunately, Fortnite's Summer Escape Event has updated the Reality Augment list to include two new options that will help players in all modes travel and spot enemies faster.

Here's a breakdown of the new Reality Augments available during Fortnite Summer Escape.

There are two new Reality Augments in Fortnite Summer Escape perfect for navigating the jungle and snow biomes. Instead of opting for weapon perks, players can now improve their gameplay with the following two Reality Augments:

• Icy Slide: Gain icy speed boost while sliding
• Thermal Mud: Gain thermal vision while covered in mud

Icy Slide has been unvaulted, once again allowing players to slide much faster as ice covers their feet. Thermal Mud, on the other hand, will grant players thermal vision when they step in the jungle biome's mud. Any nearby enemies will immediately be spotted with the help of thermal vision, and sliding through the mud will get players through the jungle in half the time.

The Tracker's Armory Augment has also been disabled. Flare Guns, now Firework Flare Guns during Summer Escape, can now only be found as floor loot or in chests.
