Gatherer Drones Fly into Fortnite Patch 14.10

Gatherer Drones in service of Galactus, the World-Eater, have appeared in Fortnite as part of the Stark Industries Update to Fortnite Patch 14.10.

These drones are designed to collect loot, and Fortnite players can shoot them down to grab whatever they've found for themselves. Destroyed drones also transform back into their weapon form, which players can pick up and use as they would any other weapon in the game. Destroyed drones left too long before being picked up will explode.

Further information about the drones — what loot they can carry, how powerful their weapon form is, how long between destruction and explosion, how much damage the explosion deals — remains to be discovered as players explore the newly updated Fortnite landscape. Epic Games has not released the information online, leaving player experimentation and data mining as the sole source.

The Stark Industries Update hit Fortnite Thursday, bringing the Stark Industries point of interest and new Mythic abilities for Iron Man and Thor to the game.
