Genshin Impact Yanfei Build Guide

Yanfei is a 4-star Pyro Catalyst character in Genshin Impact, and she's one of the current rate-up 4-star characters on "The Heron's Court" banner. If you're looking to pull for Yanfei, you might want to know how to build her to maximize her potential.

Despite her occupation as a legal advisor, Yanfei is actually a Pyro DPS capable of dealing massive amounts of damage. On the right team, she can take advantage of the fact that all her attacks deal Pyro DMG to dish out elemental reactions and take down enemies with ease. To build Yanfei, you'll first want to choose a good catalyst for dealing damage. 5-star catalyst weapons such as Skyward Atlas or Memory of Dust are the best options for her, but if you don't have them, there are a couple of 4-star options as well.

Dodoco Tales, the weapon given out for free during the "Midsummer Island Adventure" event last patch, is a great fit for Yanfei. Its passive suits her style of alternating between Normal and Charged Attacks, especially if you have it at Refinement Level 5. Other damage-oriented catalyst weapons, such as Solar Pearl and The Widsith, are also good choices for Yanfei.

As for artifacts, you'll definitely want to give a 4-piece set of Crimson Witch of Flames to Yanfei. The set amplifies Pyro damage and increases Pyro-related reaction damage, which is a great fit considering Yanfei will be doing elemental reactions often. A second alternative is the Wanderer's Troupe 4-piece set, which can boost Yanfei's Charged Attacks.

Choose ATK% or Elemental Mastery on your Sands, Pyro DMG on your Goblet, and Crit Rate or DMG on your Circlet.

If you have Xingqiu, try pairing him with Yanfei, because his constant Pyro application will help Yanfei's attacks trigger Vaporize every time. There's no other character in Genshin Impact that synergizes so well with her.
