Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is getting a standalone release later this year.

Announced as part of the new additions coming to Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut, the co-operative multiplayer add on, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, will be available for purchase as a sepatate, stand-alone game.

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is an online multiplayer game originally added to the main game in October, last year. Players choose between one of four classes, Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, or Assassin, and can play through either a new Story mode or Survival mode. Legends is separate to the single-player campaign of Ghost of Tsushima. Players can join up with friends or match with others online to play through a series of story missions, known as arcs.

Ghost of Tsushima Legends Release Date

Previously, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends has only been available as an add-on for players who own Ghost of Tsushima. Sucker Punch Productions have now announced that, as of Sept. 3, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will be released as a standalone game for those only interested in exploring the multiplayer. With the exception of some cosmetics only available in the main game campaign, this stand-alone version of Legends will be the same offered to those who purchased Ghost of Tsushima.

Those purchasing the standalone will have access to all previously released content for Legends. Players will also be able to play cooperatively with those who own the main game.

Players who buy (or previously bought) Ghost of Tsushima or Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut will be able to download Legends at no additional cost.

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will be available on PS4 and PS5 from Sept. 3 for $19.99/£15.99. Players can upgrade the stand-alone to the Director's Cut for $40/£44 (PS4) or $50/£54 (PS5).
