Square Enix just released its Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy title, leaving fans already hungry for more.
Guardians of the Galaxy hit shelves on Oct. 26 for PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The game follows the journey of five unlikely allies in their quest to protect the Galaxy from those who would harm it—much like the films and comics. Hardcore Marvel fans have already made progress in both the story and its extra unlockables, driving many to wonder if there’s anything more in store.
Does Square Enix have any other content planned for Guardians of the Galaxy?

Guardians of the Galaxy DLC: Will There Be Any?
According to Mary DeMarle, executive narrative director for the game, there will be no additional downloadable content (DLC) for Square Enix’ Guardians of the Galaxy.
In an interview with Stevivor, DeMarle explained that there will be no DLC or micro transactions available in Guardians of the Galaxy. Everything that the game will ever have will be contained within it at launch—aside from the pre-order and/or digital deluxe cosmetic bonuses. However, even those outfits are simply “early unlockables,” according to DeMarle.
“For us, it’s very important that on day one, when players get this game, they can have access to everything there is about this game and to experience it,” she said, ”Right off the bat, they can get all of the costumes or outfits that are available, they can find all the abilities as they progress through the game. It’s all there.“
A spokesperson for Eidos Montreal confirmed this in that same interview, as well. It appears players will simply have to make do with what they’ve been given.
