Nintendo announced that a new adventure platformer, Gunbrella, will be coming to the Nintendo Switch during its Indie Showcase last week.
Have you ever wanted to wield a truly unique weapon that not only packs a punch through some paranormal entities but also keeps you dry during inclement weather? Well, look no further than Gunbrella. This new game from Devolver Digital places players right in the hot seat as a rough and tumble detective attempting to untangle a ghoulish mystery.
What is Gunbrella?
Gunbrella is an action-adventure platformer developed by Devolver Digital where players step into the shoes of a gruff woodsman mercenary wielding the Gunbrella, a firearm that doubles as an umbrella. With this unique weapon at their side, players become "entangled with the inner workings of ghouls and gangsters, cops and cultists, and the fallout of corporate exploitation."
"Engage in side-scrolling action combat with a focus on maneuverability and close-quarters gunplay. Your gun is also a movement tool. Use the umbrella to glide, swing, dash, and dive," its webpage explains.
Players will be able to interrogate a full cast of characters, manage their in-game resources, explore various locations throughout the setting, and uncover paranormal mysteries.
When does Gunbrella Release on the Nintendo Switch?
There is no concrete release date for Gunbrella. According to Nintendo's webpage about its announcement, fans can expect the game to drop in 2023.
